Okay, so on the topic of not wanting to bother making up regular human names for your AUs. I hope you know that three out of the four main humans in the original G1 cartoons first two seasons are named Sparkplug, Spike and Chip

None of these are ever indicated to be nicknames in the show so a regular human named Swerve or Jazz is 100% canon compliant by G1 standards

"i'm going to miss you," you say quietly, watching your boyfriend silently fidget around with his old-fashioned camera. wonwoo looks up from the lens quickly, sharp eyes on you as he gives you a soft smile.

"i'm going to miss you too, babe." his deep voice is sweet, lilting with comfort as he stares at you from across the table.

when wonwoo's enlistment date was announced, you had told yourself that you still had a month to spend with him, loving him and doing everything you could together before he left. time had flown so fast, and now you were here—the evening before he had to go.

even though wonwoo had taken you out for lunch today as a date, when the two of you returned home, the mood was thick with a feeling akin to sadness. you were sad because wonwoo was leaving you, and it hurt wonwoo just as much to think about—he wanted to be the bigger person and comfort your aching heart, but how could he do that when he was hurting just as bad?

"we shouldn't talk about it, though, okay? let's do something fun." wonwoo gives you a smile, putting his camera back in its case before standing up and reaching for your hand. trying to put a smile on your face, you take his hand, allowing him to lead you.

the two of you decide to watch la la land together, cuddling up on the couch as the movie plays out. it's a sweet movie, and you and wonwoo laugh, cry (mainly you crying and wonwoo comforting you), and marvel at the story together.

as the credits roll, you look at wonwoo with glossy eyes, the reality of his upcoming absence hitting you hard. his wire-framed glasses reflect the dark screen, and his eyes meet yours, face faltering just a bit when he sees you quietly crying.

"wonwoo, you can't leave me."

as much as wonwoo wants to make a warm joke to lighten the mood, but can't find it in himself to do so. in fact, wonwoo's fighting back tears himself, giving you a soft smile that makes you cry even more.

"baby, trust me. i don't want to leave you. i would be with you forever if i could." wonwoo laughs with a hint of hurt in his voice, pulling you to him as you let your head fall on his chest.

the unnamed tension between you two had finally been released, and you sat bundled up in wonwoo's jacket, tears staining his shirt as you inhale his soft scent. he's rubbing calming circles in your back, softly shushing you as he kisses your head.

"wonwoo?" you say after a few minutes of tears, having enough strength to sit up and pull away from your boyfriend. one of your hands is firmly wrapped around wonwoo's forearm, the other going to his fluffy hair to comb your fingers through it.

wonwoo leans into your touch, eyelids fluttering shut as he sighs against your cold fingertips. if he could, he'd stay in this moment forever—stay with you forever.

"i love you."

the sentence holds so much more weight than the usual confessions shared between you two, and wonwoo smiles, studying your features as he leans in, pressing a soft yet alarmingly searing kiss to your lips as he whispers, "and i love you. i'll always love you no matter where i am. that will never change, babe. just wait for me. i'll always come back—no matter how long it takes, i'll be back. even if it's only for you, i'll come back."

with those words, you feel a weight lift from your chest. even though you know you'll cry more tonight, and the morning when he leaves, you also know that the little dose of hope wonwoo just gave you will be the little dose that keeps you going until he returns.

can i finally ask you what you thought of miquella’s character treatment? i was so excited they announced a DLC for him bc i thought he really got the short stick in the base game, and i thought it was an exciting opportunity for them to redeem an explicitly not-cis character after the treatment Gwyndolin got… but im not psyched about how it turned out lol.

With all due respect I genuinely don't understand why people thought we were gonna get unproblematic Miquella. It's a fromsoft game. I am here to watch a tgirl go mad with divine power and kill millions.

its the 10th anniversary and instead of feeling like a celebration of ensemble stars and its journey and like a love letter to the fans for keeping the game alive for this long it just looks completely unrecognizable baring next to no semblance of what made so many love the game to begin with. Just them using the 10th anniversary budget to do yet another experiment no one wanted. Definition of losing the plot

they hyped this anniversary up like crazy and like. i can see why bc they really Are doing alot with it. but "alot" doesnt make it good. theyre throwing so many things at us only for each new thing to feel as shallow as the last. its like theyre trying to hide the current state of enstars by putting brain numbing bandaids over it bc they know people barely engage critically with this game anymore, and if they just jingle some keys infront of us we'll forget all about their horrible bigotry and slaughter of our favorite characters. its exhausting to even look at

Some of my thoughts regarding the hate on season two and Bella in general:

Some of the comments on Bella’s appearance and acting are downright awful. It’s to the point where I wonder if the people commenting feel any remorse for their harsh words. Bella’s acting is good, we’ve seen it in season one.

Sure, season two’s writing is not the greatest; they left out Tommy’s rampage, developed the characters differently, and changed the timeline, but it’s an ADAPTATION. I’m genuinely curious about how this story will go. I am upset Tommy’s not out for revenge, but I’m enjoying the show as it’s intended to be, for entertainment.

It’s not like there weren’t any changes in season one. People have been nitpicking every little thing, from the lines or the appearance. It’s a show. I know they don’t look realistic given the circumstance of the world.

Not to mention the amount of homophobia revolving around Dina and Ellie I have seen. People are genuinely weirded out by the inclusion of gay women as if Ellie isn’t a lesbian.

And the comments about “i’m gonna be a dad?”. Sure, it’s a little uncharacteristic. Hell, some of the stuff the writers incorporated into the script is uncharacteristic and not well aligned with the characters from the game. But i think people need to remember the bit of light Ellie’s character had with Joel. Dina brought that out a bit.

And, it’s been THREE MONTHS in the show rather than the game. People grieve in different ways, and sometimes other people who are there to help with that cause the individual to show it differently.

AND, Ellie did not hesitate to go to the hospital when given the opportunity. She left Dina with Jesse and vengeance took over. She was dead set on getting information, while the others were probably wondering if she’d even make it back alive.

Her killing Nora is the switch she needed. She will not turn back from this.

reading their daughter call emily 'mummy' in your latest fic was really jarring. please don't do it again

Um i very much did it on purpose because:

a) in the fic their daughter was born, and is being raised, in the UK...so that's how she'd say it. If you paid attention - you'd realise every other character did pronounce it 'mom/mommy'.

b) i always have to 'correct' myself to the american way so for once wanted to write it that way because it was mother's day here.
